The review, given by Wine Spectator tasting editor Kim Marcus:
Dedicado Mendoza 2014 90 Points – $40 –
“Savory with red currant, plum tart and dried raspberry flavors, supported by lively acidity. Very svelte, offering a long richly spiced finish filled with minerally notes. Malbelc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Drink now through 2020.-KM ”
The first Dedicado label, of a 1996 vintage, read “Dedicado a nuestros amigos” which means “Dedicated to our friends.” The wine won the coveted de Civart Price at Vinexpo (France) in 1999, and has since maintained its superb quality.
A full-bodied and concentrated wine, Dedicado 2014 has an aroma of ripe red fruits, tobacco leaves and spices, and flavors of red and blackberry fruits and chocolate.
