Villa Il Palagio estate lies amid the rolling hills of the lush, fertile Tuscan countryside south of Florence, above the picturesque town of Figline Valdarno.
This 16th century estate has been the summer home for Sting and Trudie’s family since 1997, and the setting for many of their intimate parties, private concerts and anniversaries.
The villa, its guesthouses, vineyards and olive groves have been lovingly restored and is now a vibrant and fully functioning organic farm and vineyard with all wines certified by BioAgricert.
The Palagio estate has more than 865 acres among the fertile and lush hills, much of it given over to forest.
Renovations began in 2000 replacing 27 of 65 acres of vines under the direction of the late famed viticulturist Alan York whose career in organic and biodynamic agriculture spanned more than forty years.
The estate includes 65 acres of vineyards, 8,000 olive trees and 80 bee colonies amongst numerous other agricultural endeavors.
